Students and staff are encouraged to gather in the lobby of Holmes Hall on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Cookies for a Cause, a community cookie party and food drive event.

Cookies for a Cause will bring together volunteers from all three departments housed in Holmes Hall; Communication, Journalism and Social Media, and Psychology, Philosophy and Neuroscience, for an afternoon of community and collaboration.

Students will be able to join in on the event by checking in at the first floor lobby of Holmes Hall and donating a shelf-stable pantry item to the food drive. Acceptable items that can be donated to the Cookies and Cause food include any canned goods, such as beans, soups and pastas.

Students will then receive a plate for their cookies and a ballot to vote for their favorite treat from the event. This year’s favorite cookie will be crowned at the end of the event.

All are welcome to drop by Holmes Hall for Cookies for a Cause, donate a food item, grab a cookie and help support those in need.
