After two bias incidents involving vandalism and racial slurs were reported in Bramley Hall two weeks ago, two more were discovered in Gordon Hall late Friday afternoon.

According to a statement released on behalf of SUNY Brockport Chief Diversity Officer Damita Davis, these recent acts of vandalism involve racial slurs written on both a sign and door in Gordon Hall. These incidents are currently under investigation.

“These incidents are undoubtedly disturbing. Please know that we remain firmly committed to continuing the important work of equity, diversity, and inclusion as part of our collective efforts to Build a Better Brockport,” Davis wrote.

Like Bramley Hall, mandatory floor meetings will be held on the floor of Gordon Hall where these incidents took place.

Students can use the Bias Incident Reporting System to report any bias incidents witnessed or experienced on campus.
