SUNY Brockport’s Homecoming and Family Weekend is a big hit every fall semester, and this year will be no exception. It will be a weekend jam-packed with events, stretching from Thursday, Sept. 25, to Saturday, Sept. 27.
This is a time of year for students to invite their friends and family to campus, so they can see what Brockport has to offer, in addition to the long list of special events open for anyone to attend.
The events will kick off on Thursday, beginning with LuGia’s ice cream truck at the campus mall from 1-3 p.m.
Friday will see plenty of events for past and present students to take part in. Alumni campus walking tours will take place from 2:30-4:30 p.m., starting at the Rakov Center for student services, while the Brockport Student Government presents Wing Fest from 3-5 p.m. at the campus mall and The Alumni Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Seymour Union Ballroom.
Bill Grays Tap Room will host a Friday night after-party from 9-10 p.m. for alumni, while Brockport Bowl will host students and their families for a night of bowling from 9:30-11:59 p.m.

The action will continue on Saturday morning with a day full of fun events.
A never-before-seen event will kick things off on Saturday with HoCoMania 1, which will see Brockport’s mascot, Ellsworth Eagle, take on former Empire 8 Wrestler of the Year Nick Franco from 9-11 a.m. on the Hartwell Hall lawn.
The Alumni House will host a parade watch party with cider and donuts from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the annual Homecoming parade will take place from 11 a.m.-noon, beginning on Clinton Street.
President Macpherson’s Pre-Game Tailgate event will take place in Tuttle South from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Brockport football will take on Hartwick College at Bob Boozer Field from 1-4 p.m., with Alumni Halftime Tailgate will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers at the tent at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.

The competition continues with Brockport Men’s Soccer taking on Hartwick College from 4-6 p.m. at A. Huntley Parker JR. Field.
Brockport Student Government will present the Homecoming Carnival at Lot V from 4-7:30 p.m., and comedian, magician, and illusionist Matt Roberts will host the HoCo comedy show at the Special Events and Recreation Center from 8-9 p.m.
Rounding out the homecoming festivities is a fireworks show from 9-10 p.m. at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium.
