Brockport student dies after assault

Rochester police are investigating the death of a Brockport student.

Britt’ni Iverson died Tuesday Nov. 29 following a reported fight and possible assault at Depaul Addiction Services on Dewey Ave. in Rochester, where she was a staff member.

According to News10 NBC, police and the county medical examiner are still trying to determine if Iverson’s death was caused by the reported assault. Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.

Kathryn Wilson, Vice President for Student Affairs, released the following statement on behalf of Brockport:

“Our most heartfelt condolences go out to Britt’ni Iverson’s family and friends during this most difficult time. Please join me in keeping them in our thoughts.”

Counseling services are available by calling 585-395-2414 or by walk-in appointment. Counselors will also be available at the Peer Counseling Clinic in Hartwell Hall room 3A tonight from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
