On August 12th, 2025, Taylor Swift had announced that she had a new album “The Life of a Showgirl” on her now Fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother’s podcast “New Heights”.
Swift had brought a record from the new album on screen and listed off all of the Tracks. The last song features special guest Sabrina Carpenter and is titled “Life of a Showgirl” based on the title of the album.
After Swift had aired her announcement, she has continued to post CD’s, Vinyl’s, and even a new cardigan on her website with a new countdown each time as well as groups of them with many posters.
Pre-orders of her album have gone wild, as most are sold out now after the “Swifties” would watch the countdown multiple times to see what new edition was added, leaving only a few things left in her store for purchase. The recent announcement that shows up after logging onto Swift’s website, is the public release party in theaters. Swift has never had a release party for an album before, however after her last tour “The Era’s Tour”, she had it in theaters as well.
This is Swift’s 12th Album, not including her Taylor’s Version albums, which makes the fans even more excited for a 13th Album, as 13 is her favorite number, predicting it might be her last.
While on the podcast with Kelce, Taylor was also discussing her journey regaining the rights to her own songs, instead of continuing to make a “Taylor’s Version”. In addition, Swift also spoke about how she has been hinting at upcoming albums like “The Life of a Showgirl” through her music videos, however not specifying which. Playing from October 3-5, 2025, in not only bigger movie theaters like Regal, but also in smaller theaters like the Brockport Stand Theater, the release party is planned to be 1 hour 29 minutes long, creating an entire movie from her most recent album.
This coming weekend, watch out for the Swifties running to get their packages of pre-ordered albums, and movie theater tickets.
