Campus recreation hosted its 4th annual “Club Sports Night” on September 17, bringing student club athletes together for a night of friendly competition.
Student club members from all different teams were invited to participate in an “All Sports Tournament” with their own respective club. Held from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Special Events Recreation Center (SERC) Field House, the tournament followed a single elimination style bracket as teams participated in a series of mini games that highlighted a variety of different sports.

Teams were highly encouraged to participate as the winner of the tournament gets points added to their club sports scoreboard. These points play a crucial role in determining budget tiers during club sport’s spring budget presentations, with more points earning a higher budget request.
Campus recreation had also offered free pizza, water, and t-shirts for all participating students. Aside from the tournament, student club members had the opportunity to win a selection of different prizes that were being given away including TVs, speakers, and gift cards.
While some students may have walked away as winners or with prizes, clubs were brought closer together through friendly competition and a renewed sense of community.
