SUNY Brockport’s Social Work department is hosting this year’s Clothesline Project, an event that aims to raise awareness for gender-based violence and highlights survivors and allies alike through a compelling visual collection of t-shirts.
The shirts are designed by survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as by individuals honoring loved ones affected by these issues. The display stands as a testimony to the resilience of those impacted by these forms of violence and their strength in overcoming it.
The event will establish a supportive environment where survivors can make their voices heard and engage with those in the Brockport campus community to promote dialogue, advocacy and reflection. These personal stories will look to empower individuals and promote a safer and less violent future.
The clothesline project will be held in the Seymour College Union ballroom on April 22–23. All are welcome to attend. For more information visit SUNY Brockport’s events page.
