Meaghan Mastro led the way defensively totaling a match-high six blocks. Shelby Budnick added 10 digs as well as tying her season-high for serving aces with six. Lastly, Kerri Mchale had a great performance from as setter accounting for 25 of her team’s 33 assists.

After winning the first two sets with convincing scores of 25-11 and 25-12, Buffalo State fought hard to avoid the sweep. Buffalo battled to gain a 7-6 lead before Brockport would recapture it at 15-14. From there the Golden Eagles would only allow two more points, winning the final set 25-16.

The three seed Golden Eagles will head to Cortland for the semifinals where they’ll face #2 Geneseo in what will be a 2019 SUNYAC Finals rematch on Friday, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. The winner will face-off against the winner of the Cortland and New Paltz matchup in the finals.
